The 30-Year Reunion of RCHS Pharoahs Class of ’93
The Richmond Community High School Pharoahs Class of 1993 gathered to celebrate a remarkable milestone—their 30th class reunion. With an impressive turnout and a series of memorable events, the reunion was a testament to the enduring bonds and spirit of the class.
Kickoff at RCHS
The weekend began with a heartfelt meeting at our alma mater, RCHS, on Friday. Walking through the halls where our journeys began brought back a flood of memories. It was a time of laughter and nostalgia, as old friends reconnected. Among the attendees were familiar faces like Latonya Waller, Vaughan Mitchell and Tiya Williams, who shared stories of their paths since graduation.
Evening Mixer at Lavender Hill
The evening brought a change of pace with a classy mixer at Lavender Hill, graciously hosted by Nadia Anderson, a proud RCHS ’95 alumna. The venue, with its elegant decor and warm ambiance, was perfect for our gathering. It was a night of rejuvenation and rekindling old friendships, with Aaron McCoy, Clifton Braxton, John Banks, Corby Faye, Steven Ramey, Joe Sharp, Ralph Jones and others leading the charge in sharing their experiences and catching up over drinks, appetizers, and laughter.
Saturday’s Family Picnic
Saturday’s events though rainy, saw a perfect blend of sunshine and smiles at the family picnic, where Folayan Knight , Vaughan Mitchell, Corby Faye, Franklin Roberts and several other alumni enjoyed games, refreshments and catching up with each other. The camaraderie was amazing just like old times
Grand Dinner and Final Meeting
The climax of the reunion was the class dinner at Mike’s Jazz Cafe on Saturday and a soul stirring visit to St. Paul’s Baptist Church on Sunday. This reunion was not just a celebration of the past but also a reaffirmation of our commitment to each other as a community. It reinforced the bonds that make the Pharoahs class of ’93 unique—bonds that have only strengthened with time. As we said our goodbyes, it was clear that while we may leave our alma mater, it never truly leaves us. Here’s to more years of friendship, growth, and reunions that keep us coming back to where it all started.
